Cancellation Policy:

We understand that circumstances may change, and we aim to accommodate your needs to the best of our ability. If you need to cancel your class reservation, please note the following policy:

Cancellation Timeframe: You can cancel your class reservation up to one week before your class start date.

Refund: If you cancel within the designated time frame, you will receive a refund for your payment, minus a 25% deduction to cover administrative time and card processing fees.

Exceptions: We acknowledge that certain situations, such as the unpredictability of birth and health, can arise. However, due to the specific nature of our business, we regret that we cannot accommodate unique circumstances like preterm birth or health issues, unless they fall within the policy parameters outlined.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made after one week before the class start date are not eligible for refunds.

The format may change from 'live in-person' scheduled classes to virtual per public health guidelines. For the health and safety of our students, Brlliant Births requires COVID-19 vaccination. Proof may be requested. Masks are not required but welcomed. No change in fee will be issued, and no refunds will be given outside of the allotted cancellation policy.

1. Let know you are interested via our contact page and our concierge will share your information with our professional doulas members. We then provide you up to 4 pre-screened providers that best meet your care needs, budget and requested experience level. If you have questions, you can also set up a time to chat with our staff.

2. Your doula matches will reach out to you directly to introduce themselves and schedule an interview.

3. Pick your top choice and contract directly with them.

4. Receive your Brilliant Births promo codes for other offerings and services. Yay!

5. Rest easy, knowing you've checked one more thing off your to-do list!

Every single doula on our roster has been personally vetted and interviewed by our owner, Heidi Kate and another member of our select team. When screening each member we verify formal training and/or certification in their field, conduct a thorough background check, confirm CPR + First Aid certification, receive a copy of their personal liability insurance for our files, and confirms they are a legally registered business in CA. Our doula connecting service is completely free to new and expecting parents! When you are ready to interview a doula reach out to us and our concierge will share your information with our professional doula members. If you have questions, you can also set up a complimentary consultation call with us. All payments for birth doula, postpartum doulas, and placenta services are reserved directly through the individual providers.

Rates are set by each individual doula but you can select the match that best fits your budget and care needs. Rates are based on more than just the number of clients they have worked with or births they have attended. When setting their rates our team takes into account additional training & continuing education, life experience, expenses etc. but will also include skill set and extent of trainings completed. The lower end of the scale is generally for newer doulas with less field experience, while the higher end of the pricing scale offers more field experience and speciality services like custom postpartum meal preparation, belly binding, herbal support and more.

Birth Doula rates range between $1800 and $3000 flat rate, with an average of 2 prenatal appointments, duration of labor and at least 1 postpartum visit.

Postpartum Doula rates range between $35 and $65 an hour, depending on service packages during the day and/or night. Packages can range from a couple hours during the day to full overnight care.
